Nus regularly invites schools up to Parliament to show them round the Palace of Westminster, one of Britain's most historic buildings. Nus also regularly visits schools across Wealden, one of the most rewarding parts of being an MP.
Nus visited St Mark’s School in Hadlow Down in order to learn more about their participation in the Department for International Development’s (DfID) joint scheme with the British Council, ‘Connecting Classrooms’.
Last week, Nus asked questions at a charity quiz night in Jarvis Brook in aid of ‘Sussex Nightstop’. She donated a prize to be awarded to the winning team, comprising: a visit to Parliament, tea with Nus and a tour of the House of Commons and the House of Lords.
Nus Ghani has welcomed today’s announcement that there will be an additional £1.3 billion for schools funding over two years – helping to create more good school places in Wealden.
