Transport survey

Regular, reliable, and affordable public transport is key to our lives in Wealden, whether for commuting into London for work or travelling locally.

Securing improvements to public transport links and connectivity in Wealden continues to be one of my priorities and I am constantly working to secure more funding to ensure better infrastructure, reliable services and to improve transport accessibility.

I am proud that we have had some great successes over the past couple of years. Following the completion of multi-million-pound step free upgrades at Eridge station in 2022, I was delighted to officially open Crowborough train station last year, which has undergone similar improvements as part of a £4.7m investment from the Department for Transport’s Access for All scheme, including the installation of two lifts and a brand-new footbridge. This means that both Crowborough and Eridge stations are now fully accessible to all Wealden commuters and fit for the future.

However, there is more to be done and I continue working with local authorities to ensure further improvements to public transport services in Wealden.

I am always keen to hear your concerns, which allows me to better represent your views and put forward a stronger case for additional resources for Wealden during meetings with local authorities and Government departments. If you would like to share with me any comments with regards to improving our transport network, please feel free to do so via the survey below.

Thank you for your time.
