Nusrat Ghani, MP for Wealden, visited Three Acre brewery in Blackboys near Uckfield to celebrate its four-year anniversary and its products now being served in Westminster.
Three Acre Brewery is an award-winning craft brewery based in Blackboys, founded by three school friends Chester, Jamie and Peter. The business opened its doors for trading in late 2019, and has since released a total of 23 beers, including the classic Best Bitter, juicy Blood Orange Pale and Chocolate Oat Stout, made on site in Wealden from hops grown locally and across the UK. Since commencing trading, the brewery has increased its production capacity by 1400% and is supplying to pubs in the Wealden area, across the South East, and now also in Westminster.
Earlier in the year, Nusrat worked with the founders on nominating Three Acre Brewery for cask beer supply at the Strangers Bar. The nomination was successful and Nusrat was pleased to welcome the team to Westminster to celebrate the first serving of the Wealden-made Session Pale there.
To continue with the successful expansion of the business, Chester, Jamie and Peter are now hoping to open a Brew Café in Uckfield next year, which would be a multi-purpose community space not only serving cask and keg beers, but also supporting local producers by stocking a range of their quality produce and hosting live music events. To support this goal, a crowdfunding page has been set up to help with the costs. To find out more, and to support the project, click here.

Nusrat Ghani said: “I first visited Three Acre Brewery just before they opened their doors for trading, and it was fantastic to return and see how much they have grown over the past four years. We are incredibly lucky to have so many unique, delicious products made by local people from the best of Wealden produce on our doorstep, and Three Acre Brewery is no exception. I take every opportunity to champion Wealden businesses and products, and I was delighted to support Chester, Jamie and Peter in getting their Session Pale served in Westminster and expose their craft to new customers. I look forward to seeing them continue to thrive and seeing their exciting new Brew Café come to life next year.”
