Nus Ghani Welcomes Royal Society for Blind Children Youth Manifesto

Nus Ghani has welcomed the Royal Society for Blind Children (RSBC) 2018 Youth Manifesto at a reception in Parliament today.

The reception provided Members of Parliament the opportunity to meet blind and vision-impaired young people and learn more about their experiences.

Nus Ghani Wins Parliamentary 'Unsung Hero' Award 2017

Nus Ghani was presented with the ‘Unsung Hero’ award at the GovNet Alternative Parliamentary Awards for MPs and Peers.

Nus received the award, which was presented to her by Cheryl Gillan MP, having been nominated by her Parliamentary colleagues from all political parties.

Nus Welcomes New Penalties to Tackle Littering

The Environment Minister, Dr Thérèse Coffey MP, has announced a new plan to tackle littering. Maximum fines for littering are set to almost double to £150 from April 2018, as well as new fines to be introduced for owners of vehicles from which litter is thrown.

Nus Ghani Continues to Fight Fraud with Age UK

Nus Ghani was a panellist at a Fraud event supported by Royal Mail and Age UK. Nus highlighted the extent of the damaging effects that fraud can have and called on organisations, such as post offices and banks, to work together and do more to protect vulnerable consumers.
