Nus Ghani, MP for Wealden, has invited the newly titled Duke and Duchess of Sussex to visit the treasures of the beautiful Wealden countryside.
The Queen bestowed the titles of Duke and Duchess of Sussex on the royal couple following their wedding last weekend.
The titles of Duke and Duchess of Sussex are rich in history, and while Prince Harry is the first Duke of Sussex since 1801, this is the first time in history the title of Duchess of Sussex has been used.
Nus Ghani, MP for Wealden, said: “I warmly congratulate the Duke and Duchess of Sussex on their wedding; the ceremony was a joy to behold and I wish them all the best in the future.
“I am also immensely proud to welcome their new royal dukedoms hailing the wonderful county of Sussex.
“Sussex is one of the most beautiful parts of the country, and I would like to extend a warm invitation to the Duke and Duchess to visit the treasures Wealden has to offer.
“From the charm of Winnie the Pooh, to the allure of the Ashdown Forest and award winning sparkling wine vineyards, there is so much for the Royals to discover.
“The Duchess of Sussex has described herself as a feminist on the royal website, and I can think of no better way to start than by visiting the wonderful exhibition at Bridge Cottage celebrating the centenary of women getting the vote for the first time.”
