Covid-19 is the most profound societal, economic and public health challenge since the Second World War. I cannot thank Wealden residents enough for their collective efforts over the last few months to fight the pandemic. I know that there are many people in Wealden who have made personal sacrifices to help others. These individuals are our ‘invisible’ heroes and it is important they get the recognition they deserve.
“Celebrating Wealden Heroes” is a campaign to extend my thanks and gratitude to Wealden residents for their efforts to overcome this challenge and to celebrate the many acts of kindness and community spirit of Wealden residents throughout the crisis.
If you know fellow Wealden resident, who has helped you, your family or your community during the pandemic, whether by volunteering to help the vulnerable, setting up local volunteer networks, volunteering for the NHS, returning to work on the front line or in any other invaluable way, you can nominate them for the WEALDEN HERO Award.
To nominate someone, please complete the form below, providing as much detail as possible.
The Wealden Hero Award will roll on a weekly basis, but nominations can be made continuously. Winners will be published on my website and social media platforms
