Businesses have raised concerns about potential tariffs on UK-made products.
More than 35 businesses attended the Crowborough Business Expo, where they shared their worries with local MP Nusrat Ghani.
The concerns stem from the Trump administration's recent announcement of a new tariff regime on UK goods.
Nusrat Ghani said: "We are incredibly lucky to have so many fantastic businesses in Sussex Weald who export their unique products overseas and contribute a great deal to international markets and advanced manufacturing supply chain.
"I know from casework and in-person meetings and surgeries from across the constituency that this issue is hugely important and worrying to our local businesses, for many of whom the United States is a key market.
"I appreciate that the situation is fluid and that since the initial announcement, the imposition of these tariffs has been paused for 90 days from 9 April.
"However, I recognise that if resumed, the new tariff regime would have a devastating impact on some of our small local companies and lead to job losses and risk of closures."
Ms Ghani has encouraged all businesses potentially affected by the tariffs to contact her through her website.
