Nus Ghani, MP for Wealden, said: “These figures are good news for Wealden and for the whole of the UK. Continued impressive employment figures demonstrate the strength of our economy, thanks to the careful management of the economy by the Conservative Government.

“They are not just numbers on a page, they represent more opportunity for more people, with the security of a regular pay-packet. It’s the hard work and dedication of businesses across Wealden that have created so many jobs over the past eight years.

“Since I was first elected I have regularly worked with our Chambers of Commerce in Crowborough, Hailsham and Uckfield, as well as with the farming community and our tourism and pub trade - all solid employers for Wealden families. I know how hard they work to ensure that the Wealden is economy is thriving and working for everyone.”
