Nus Ghani, MP for Wealden, has welcomed the news that Post Office Limited will be restoring their services in Horam from today (Monday 22 February).

Following the resignation of the postmaster, the Post Office branch on Horam High Street closed temporarily on 31 October 2018. Nus is keen that the service is reinstated and has been supporting Horam Parish Council in finding a permanent solution.

In the meantime, a Temporary Hosted Outreach will be reinstated from today and will be operating from Horam Centre, High Street, Horam, TN21 0EH, every Monday from 9:00am - 12:00pm.

Nus Ghani said: “The Post Office provides vital services to Wealden residents and they are especially key in rural constituencies such as ours. I am pleased that services have returned to Horam in the form of a Temporary Hosted Outreach. I have previously worked with several communities across Wealden and fought to keep Post Offices that were under threat of closure in Hailsham, Groombridge and Mayfield open. I will continue to support local authorities in finding a permanent location to replace the original branch, so that postal services can resume fully in Horam once again.”
