Nusrat Ghani, MP for Sussex Weald, was pleased to visit The Horder Centre in Crowborough to meet with the new CEO Elin Richardson and congratulate the team on a recent significant clinical milestone.
The Horder Centre is a CQC-rated Outstanding specialist hospital with a network of local clinicians to provide seamless, all-round care, focusing on orthopaedic surgery and musculoskeletal treatment. The Centre offers a wide variety of high-quality services, including knee, shoulder and hip replacements and physiotherapy to both NHS and private patients.
In January, The Horder Centre reached a significant clinical milestone, having treated its 200th patient with a non-surgical treatment option for people living with knee osteoarthritis, offering an alternative for those who may not yet require surgery. The milestone reflects The Horder Centre’s growing expertise in delivering innovative, evidence-based treatments for musculoskeletal conditions.
Nusrat has been working closely with The Horder Centre and the previous CEO Richard Tyler for many years, and was delighted to present them with Wealden Hero Award for their contribution to NHS services during the Covid-19 pandemic. More recently, she joined local charity Care for the Carers to present the Centre with Carer Friendly Award, which is a scheme recognising places where carers feel supported and are recognised as individuals with needs of their own.
Nusrat Ghani said: “The Horder Centre are experts in orthopaedic surgery and musculoskeletal treatment and they are a fantastic asset, providing high quality service to patients from Crowborough, Sussex Weald and the wider area of East Sussex and Kent. Their approach ensures patients receive safe, effective and personalised care at every stage of their treatment journey and I was pleased to catch up with the new CEO Elin Richardson to congratulate and thank her and her team for being a trusted provider of specialist orthopaedic care. They have capacity for new patients, so if you are in need of support, look no further than The Horder Centre for a positive patient experience and the highest standards of care.”
