Wealden MP Nus Ghani joined the Friends of St Pancras Arlington last week to raise money for St Pancras Church in Arlington.
St Pancras Church has stood for more than 1000 years, and to help with the preservation and improvement of the Church, Friends of St Pancras Arlington was formed last year.
The fundraising evening was a G&T mixing evening, sponsored by local soft drink manufactures Folkington’s. The evening raised almost £3,000, all of which will go towards maintaining St Pancras Church.
Nus Ghani, MP for Wealden, said: “St Pancras Church is a Wealden gem and an invaluable community asset, and I was delighted to support the Friends of St Pancras Arlington in raising money for the Church.
“It’s fantastic to see so much dedication and time being poured into ensuring that the Church will be as beautiful and functional for future generations, continuing to serve the people of Arlington.
“Thank you to everyone involved in organising and supporting the fundraising event, and I’m pleased to see so much money raised for much needed maintenance.”
